Real Estate professionals are often guilty of superficial structural inspections, because structural defects are less common than defects in other areas. However, structural conditions are often the most serious and expensive to correct. Porches and decks, most homes will have one or more of these. Although they are accessories to the building in one sense, they are important and can be expensive to repair or replace. Most standards require that they be included in the inspection, and your clients will expect you to report on their condition.
